Privacy & Security
How is my data stored?
Your data lives in Stockholm, Sweden (EU), encrypted at rest and in transit. It never leaves the European Union for storage.
We use industry-standard security: TLS 1.3, AES-256 encryption, role-based access control, and continuous monitoring.
Who can see my conversations?
Only you. We don't share, display, or sell your content. Ever.
When you chat with Friday, your messages are sent to Anthropic Claude to generate responses — but Anthropic does not store or train on your data.
Do you sell my data?
No. Our business model is credits, not data. Your trust matters more than anything we could sell.
Will my data train AI models?
No. Anthropic has a strict policy: customer data is not used for model training. Your conversations are processed in real time to generate coaching responses and that's it.
What analytics do you collect?
We use privacy-safe analytics (EU-hosted) to improve the service. We track page visits, feature usage, errors, and performance.
We never track your chat messages, passwords, or sensitive inputs. All inputs are masked in session replays. You can opt out in your browser settings.
Where are your servers?
- Data storage: Stockholm, Sweden (EU)
- AI processing: United States (Anthropic, under GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses)
- Analytics and authentication: EU region
Is Revontale GDPR compliant?
Yes. EU-based storage, right to access, right to erasure, right to data portability, transparent privacy policy, and Standard Contractual Clauses for any US data transfers.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export everything at any time — your profile, all conversations, credit history, and authentication events. The export is in JSON format.
What happens when I delete my account?
Your account is deactivated immediately and your email is anonymised. You have 30 days to change your mind. After that, everything is permanently deleted — conversations, memories, profile, the lot.
We keep anonymised financial records for compliance, but those can't be linked back to you.
How Revontale Works
What is Revontale?
Revontale is an AI creative coach. Inside it lives Friday — a coach built on a proven methodology developed by Frida Spikdotter, a Swedish author and creative writing coach.
You don't prompt Friday. Friday coaches you. It asks questions, challenges your thinking, suggests exercises, and remembers your creative journey across sessions. The goal: more of your own ideas, not fewer.
How does the AI coaching work?
Friday draws from a curated library of exercises, teaching material, and self-discovery frameworks — pulling in the right thing at the right moment. You don't see the library. You just feel the quality of the coaching.
Friday remembers across sessions. Early conversations feel like meeting a thoughtful new coach. Later conversations feel like working with someone who genuinely knows you.
A note: Friday is a creative tool, not a therapist or professional adviser. Use it for reflection, creative exploration, and finding your voice — not for medical or legal advice.
Is there a mobile app?
Revontale is a web app, built to work well on both desktop and mobile browsers. No native app yet.
Your Account
How do I sign up?
No passwords needed. We use email-based authentication — a code is sent to your email whenever you log in.
Can I change my email address?
Not from within the app at the moment. Contact support@revontale.com and we'll sort it out.
How do I delete my account?
Go to your account settings, scroll to the bottom, and click "Delete Account." You'll need to confirm by typing your email. You have 30 days to recover before permanent deletion.
What happens to my credits if I delete my account?
Your credit balance is forfeited. Credits are non-refundable and can't be transferred. If you think you might come back, just leave your account — there are no ongoing charges.
Credits & Billing
How does the credit system work?
You buy credits, and they're consumed when you chat with Friday. The cost depends on how much you write and how much Friday writes back. Everything else — sessions, history, exports, your memory profile — is free.
You get 100 credits when you sign up. No credit card required.
How many credits does a session use?
It varies. A quick 10-minute check-in might use 5-10 credits. A deep exploratory session could use 20-30. Your balance is always visible on your account page.
What if I run out of credits?
Your conversations and memories are still there. You just can't start new chats with Friday until you top up. Nothing is lost, nothing is charged without your say-so.
Do credits expire?
No. Buy them now, use them whenever. They're yours.
Can I get a refund?
Credits are non-refundable once purchased. If something went wrong technically or you believe there was an error, contact support@revontale.com and we'll look into it.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards via Stripe.
Technical Support
Friday isn't responding. What do I do?
Check your credit balance first — you may have run out. If that's not it, try refreshing the page or a different browser. Some browser extensions can interfere. If the problem persists, email support@revontale.com.
How do I report a bug?
Email support@revontale.com with a description of the issue, steps to reproduce it, and screenshots if you have them. We'll investigate and keep you posted.
Legal
Who owns what I create?
You do. Everything you write in Revontale belongs to you. We only store and process it to provide the service. We never claim ownership of your work.
Can I use AI-generated content commercially?
Yes — you own the output. But AI-generated content isn't guaranteed to be original, may need fact-checking, and shouldn't be treated as professional advice. Review before publishing.
What if Revontale shuts down?
If we ever discontinue the service, we'll give you at least 90 days' notice and keep the servers running so you can export everything.
