Respect your creativity - and it will respect you

Oh my. How quiet it’s gone here on our Substack.
Sure, a summer happened - but it’s also about what happened during this particular summer. And it has everything to do with Friday. Because it has to do with embracing your creativity.
The duo behind Friday brings together two very different skill sets. Without that combination, the project could never have been pulled off.
A tech guy - a writer.
A patient engineer - a wild creative.
A spreadsheet person - an all over the place person.
Right in the eye of this storm, Friday was formed. Almost exactly a year ago.
Anyway. What does any of this have to do with the silence on Substack?
Well. The duo has been running on one engine for a while. But it’s all thanks to good news: one half of us received a three-book deal with HarperCollinsNordic at the start of summer. This is a big thing.
I’ve spent my life in service of writing in just about every conceivable way for nearly thirty years - as an editor, blogger, reviewer, freelancer, writer in the TV industry, startup founder, writing coach, manuscript reader, publisher, editorial director.
Everything!
Everything except a fiction author.
Until now.
So I hope you’ll forgive me if the summer went towards editing my upcoming novel Bojan, releasing in May 2027.
But that’s what happens when you listen to your creative voice and follow your longing.
And that’s also the reason Friday exists at all. So that more people can feel that same connection with their inner creative vibration.
Respect your creativity - and it will respect you.
